6 sprigs thyme
5 sliced strawberries
1 oz pomegranate juice
2 oz simple syrup
½ oz Crème de Pêche (we use Mathilde)
2 c Lillet Rosé
¾ c pisco (we use Encanto Pisco)
¼ c gin (we use Junipero)
½ oz orange flower water
garnish: 1 liter soda
¼ oz orange flower water
Combine all ingredients, except garnishes. Can be made a day ahead of time and refrigerated. When ready to serve, pour over ice and add soda. Drizzle orange flower water on top. Serves 8-10.
With sprigs of thyme and the scent of orange flower, Devil’s Claw is a perfumed enchantress. Both alluring and hypnotic, she casts her spell of drunkitude. Subtle hints of strawberry and peach mingle with intoxicating floral notes in this botanical punch.

Instead of a milder rosé wine, we used Lillet Rosé, a French fortified wine tasting of honeysuckle-scented strawberries. Pisco adds an earthy melon nose, while gin provides a brightening hint of juniper.
